As usual, I’ve seen an embarrassingly
small number of movies, so the simple rating system is not really worth a
damn.
- Dawn of the Dead: Actually,
I probably could have seen 30 more movies and this would still be #1. I
loved this movie! And for the first time, seeing a movie at Court Street
actually made a movie-going experience better.
- Harry Potter & the Prisoner
of Azkaban: I’m a nerd and I love these movies. This one was particularly
fantastic though.
- Closer: In my opinion,
Natalie Portman really made this movie work. That said, I hated her Golden
Globes award speech (rock star, daddy…..eewww).
- Ray: Hated the ending,
hated the obligatory withdrawal scene. Loved Jamie Foxx and Regina King.
- In the Realms of the Unreal:
Really love his paintings, so I had to go see this. It was alright. The
landlord was probably my favorite.
- Starsky & Hutch:
We all need one of these.
- Collateral: This was
a free Daily Show screening. Tom Cruise looks like a weasel come to life.
- Win a Date with Tad Hamilton:
Saw it on tv. I’ve seen worse.
- Shrek 2: My nephews made
me watch it. I thought it was even worse than the first. I hate adult movies
masquerading as kid movies.
- Along Came Polly: This
movie sucked.
- The Ladykillers: But
not as badly as this movie.
