After so many days on the road, it was time for a big brunch. Late Friday (actually, maybe it was Thursday) morning we stopped at the Hash House A Go Go in San Diego.
The menu overflowed with possible breakfast options. Looking at the plates of other diners, YouthLarge realized the size of our menus was just a hint of things to come.
I opted for fried chicken and mashed potatoes. And eggs. And a biscuit the size of my fist.
Having already started his day with a bowl of cereal at the hotel Handwashings thought he'd order something light. Little did he realize that the food on his plate would dwarf the giant limb of rosemary protruding from his biscuit.
Listmaker - overwhelmed - just like the rest of us.
After brunch we made the mostly casual drive back to Los Angeles. We picked up Jen and headed to Dodgers Stadium.
Jamie was curious about the Dodger Dog (he had his brunchtime mashed potatoes put in a to-go bag). Hopefully, Dave and Jen have tossed them from their refrigerator by now.
Obviously, there's no doubt in anyone's mind that I had to sample a Dodger Dog. My impression? Sort of like a dessert hot dog. And, no, I can't explain what I mean by that.
Jamie's golden red tongue was the result of a sub-par sno-cone.
After five or six days of group photos taken by random ballpark attendees, one person finally made a mistake and didn't fit everyone into the frame.
John (I think), jumped up and gave us Dodger Stadium Group Photo Part Two.
Quiet, suburban Maryland's Rich turned imposing when he moved to LA.
After the game Listmaker, Jamie and I headed out into Hollywood looking for a drink. We walked twelve or thirteen blocks and finally decided that if we wanted a drink, we'd have to stop into the Knitting Factory for hip-hop night.
I wish I knew the first thing about hip-hop so that I could tell if what we were watching was any good.
Listmaker wanted a picture of the non-scene outside the club. This is what I came up with. Suddenly, Hollywood Blvd looks like Anywhere, USA.
